The Odesa Boys, Julian Milkis and Maxim Lubarsky

Clarinetist Julian Miklis and pianist Maxim Lubarsky return after their well-received concert in the 2023 series. 

Julian, Benny Goodman’s only student, is an internationally acclaimed solo artist in both the classical and jazz genres.  He has performed with The Toronto Symphony, CBC Vancouver Orchestra, and L’Orchestre Symphonique de Lyon, and collaborated with Valery Afanassiev, Misha Maisky, and the Borodin String Quartet, among others.  

Maxim, a classically trained pianist turned jazz pianist, has an active performing and recording career in Boston, New York, and abroad.  He is a regular at the Spoleto Festival, tours and records with Gabrielle Goodman, and is on the faculty of the Berklee College of Music.
