FRIDAY MORNING WALKERS MEET SUNDAY TO CLIMB KILBURN CRAGS

At the trailhead of Kilburn Crags, Littleton NH

Finally, after two rain outs, the Friday Morning Walkers met on a Sunday in Littleton to ascend the Kilburn Crags.

A wooded trail just of Route 18 in Littleton, just south of the Littleton Hospital, has a little bit of everything: a sunny meadow, wooded glens, flat and uphill treks, gushy sections underfoot, rocks to hop, and, finally, a rewarding view of the town of Littleton backed by the Presidentials, with Mount Washington center stage.

The entire excursion lasted about 2 hours, including a long stop at the top for viewing and photos.

The casual nature of an easy walk-and-talk makes this kind of outing especially social, giving walkers the chance to get to know one another in a setting outside the usual BHC buffet or oneg table.
