LUCY GOODHART IS BHC'S JEWISH FEDERATION OF NH 2023 SHEM TOV AWARDEE
Dr. Lucy Goodhart is a political scientist teaching at Brandeis University, conducting research on partisan polarization in US politics.
Lucy is also Vice President of BHC and co-Chair of the Ritual Committee, where her vision - successfully achieved - is to enrich our services with a warm, engaging and meaningful aura.
She has been a board member since 2019. Dr. Goodhart also serves on the Security and Membership committees; In short, Lucy is deeply engaged in all the activities that make BHC a lively and enduring community.
Lucy’s teaching responsibilities keep her in Boston much of the academic year. When in residence in the North Country, she and husband Gordon enjoy gardening, hosting great meals, and watching the bears wander Cannon Mountain at dusk.
The Shem Tov (good name) awards were created by the Jewish Federation of New Hampshire to recognize volunteers from organizations across New Hampshire who have provided outstanding service to the Jewish Community.
The award ceremony will be held at the Federation’s annual meeting on August 13, 2023, 6:00 - 9:00 pm Eastern, in Bedford, NH, and online. Dave and Dorothy Goldstone will be receiving the award for Dr. Goodhart.
