SOUNDS IN THE SANCTUARY - ODESA BOYS JULIAN MILKIS AND MAXIM LUBARSKY PLAY HEARTFELT CLARINET AND PIANO DUETS

On July 28th the clarinet and piano duo of Julian Milkis and Maxim Lubarsky presented a wide-ranging program of music from both the classical and jazz traditions.

Both of these classically trained musicians were born in Odesa and have done a number of benefit concerts in support of the people of their native Ukraine.

Their evocative playing, reminding many of the great Benny Goodman, clearly moved our audience to call for and receive several encores.

This concert was presented in partnership with Congregation Kehillath Israel (Brookline, MA) and the Boston based Ballets Russes Arts Initiative.

We continue to expand our outreach and note that our online ticket sales are steadily increasing.
