Ed Roberts had an exemplary career at MIT where he pioneered the field of Entrepreneurship.

I wanted to especially highlight that as a longtime residents of Littleton, NH,  Ed  and his wife, Nancy, have over the decades been one of the major supporters of the North Country Arts community.

Initially Ed was not connected to BHC, but once we began offering secular programming, he slowly became drawn into the circle of supporters of BHC Summer programming.

Ed and Nancy have been major supporters of both our Sounds in the Sanctuary Concert Series and the White Mountain Jewish Film Festival since their inception.

Over the past 10 years they regularly attended the concerts in our Sanctuary and the movies at the Colonial and were most appreciative of our efforts.

In addition, both Ed and Nancy were a major supporters of the North Country Chamber Players, the Weathervane Theatre and the Colonial Theater for more than the past 40 years

A Brief Encounter with Edward Roberts

By Edward Clark, Director Sounds in the Sanctuary Program at BHC

Although I was well aware of his advocacy and contributions to the cultural life of our community, I never had an extended conversation with Ed Roberts until last June at the North Country Chamber Players Gala.

Ed didn’t just chat, but rather conducted a mini-interview that formed the basis for a wide ranging, animated, engaging and entertaining discussion. In less than 15 minutes we talked about music, film, David Dubinsky and the time I met Henny Youngman. He will be remembered and missed.
